Interestingly, in the place where I was dragged up the 'pink pages' was the Saturday evening edition of the local rag that was rushed out, often with still wet ink, that showed all the footie scores (so you could check the pools) as well as a few pithy summaries of the games that the local teams had played in.  By Monday night you could usually buy your chips in it.

I appreciate that to non UK wasters and to those of a certain post SKY age that the above is complete gibberish, but I just thought you ought to know!  Its just that when contemplating the subject header I was suddenly confroned by an image of Eve, with long lens attached, camped out behind the goal waiting for a last minute matchwinner  ;D

My wife's uncle is Welsh and trying to correct any deficiencies in my education. ;)

I keep waiting for the introduction to cricket. My college roommate and I used to watch the Indian grad students play and never could figure it out.
