Nice one Damion - superb camera...!!

I had the C330 Professional some years ago. Shot weddings on it. Built like a tank and the lenses were incredibly sharp and contrasty. I'm sure you'll come to love it.

I managed to stumble across a 45deg viewfinder for my Hassy 500c/m today. It's a metering version (can't recall the model just now) but not sure if the meter works yet as the battery is duff. No matter - it was dead cheap and I will probably end up using my hand-held meter anyway.

Oh! a TLR!

At first I thought you wanted to tell the world you just got a cat  ;D

Does look an awful lot like a 330. My dad's cousin used to use one to shoot weddings too. They're really nice and super quiet...

A TLR?? What kind of cat is that?  ;D

I got my first TLR cat few months ago and I love it. Its much less aggressive when you make close distance portraits, the issue of not pointing the camera to somebody´s face.. and it looks funny

Awesome. A Mamiya TLR is on my list, too. For now the Yashica Mat will do however :)

Yeah it's a c330.  Looks nice and feels well built.

Had to include the first picture of the cat,  we had words this morning and he has been off with me all day because of it.  This was the first time she had given me any attention.

That look like a beaut Damion.  Invested in a C3 myself last week - just to keep my Rolleicord company.  As others have said, it's nice to be able to shoot sometimes without a camera in front of your face.  Nice cat by the way.

So good ! My wife's uncle has many C220 and C330's. I inquired and he posted me down a C3 with the 80mm and 135mm (I think) lenses. I love it and bought the 55mm.

Prob my Best Camera now.

Heavy mind you :-)

Thanks all,   I admit i was surprised it came out so well.

In retrospect wish i had taken more time in the framing etc but it was icy outside i was cold and keen to finish the roll to dev it quickly

Lovely photo Damion.

It depends, of course, on the style of shooting you intend to do but Miles is right - the 55mm lens is stunning when you need the 35mm SLR equivalent angle of view of a 35mm lens. They are great, even for individual portraits and as sharp as any lenses I've ever used. A bit slow at f4.5 max - but not a major problem if you shoot outdoors or with 400+ ISO or on a tripod.

The good news is that lenses for the C330 are no too expensive. I love my Rolleiflex but the flexibility of interchangeable lenses on a TLR - especially when the lenses are as good as the Mamiya Sekors available for the C330 - is a real advantage.

These are excellent cameras. Used to have one I used for work on site, with the 55. 80 and 180 lenses. I used it daily (mostly with the 55mm) and the results were brilliant. Then it broke my fall when I fell off some scaffolding and is no more. Good times...

The 55mm or even the 65mm though much slower than the 80mm are just so sharp and versitile.

In the Highlands at the mo and wish I'd brought it now. Have many other toys to keep me company though.

Cripes - I'm not sure coming to an abrupt stop on masonry would be any less painful than landing on a C330 Pro....!! You must be made of stern stuff  :o

Now, peppers are nice... and the camera is too.
But we've all seen a C330 before. What we need now are some kitty pictures ;)

I have a 220 which I took to Lisbon last year and loved using it there.
Age can weary me when it can keep the hell up

I'm really very soft. Too many pints and pies (also an occupational hazard).

I wasn't very high up and landed on a softish spoil heap but I did end up with a huge bruise from the camera. I've learnt now that when falling just to drop the thing
