A 1978 bus??
There must be quite some mileage on it!
I haven't seen one of these since I was a kid...

It's a great idea. Anton seems like a very passionated photographer. He also manages this Rolleiflex group at Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/groups/2387622842/

Some great photos in there

they have quite a lofty goal to try to meet.  They don't get any of the donations anyone makes unless they hit that $16,000 mark by Feb 1st.

When I look at the Kickstarter model, all I can think is that the guys who started this (I think it belongs to Amazon) have definitely found the cash cow!

Just imagine: if the goal isn't met they get to keep all the donations!

The donations are made by pledge. No money is taken from donors until the goal is met. If the goal isn't met, the donations aren't taken.  So the site owners don't take anything.

From the site FAQ:

If I make a pledge, when is my card charged?

If the project you’re backing is successfully funded, your card will be charged when the project reaches its funding deadline. If the project does not reach its funding goal, your card is never charged. That's why we call them pledges.

Well, they want to put two VW buses on top of a school bus, and for that they have my admiration.  Style counts.  They had better be careful with overpasses or there will be an embarrassing VW-ectomy  ;D

Thing is I'm so used to those PBS pledge drives... and if their goal isn't met, you don't get your money back!

Wonderful idea...and what a bus! :)

A couple of years ago I have posted a similar project in this forum, although in much smaller proportion the aim is to bring the very basic of analogue photograph closer to everyone and preserve traditional photography.
