Fuji FP-400B?
« on: February 25, 2007, 09:54:15 AM »
With my favorite Polaroid film - Type-665 - on the way out, I am experimenting with alternatives. These, overexposed Fuji FP-400B. A moderate speed film, with usually great range of grays...

Pity the goop is detail free. Skj.

lovely stuff skorji (as ever)  although you are just taunting us with your wide range of peel apart fuji films, in the UK you can getthe 100 speed stuff and thats about it.

locally i can't get any polaroid films, except 600 and spectra. 3.5 million people in this city and 3 photo shops. Online is about it...found quite a bit of fuji online alongside the polaroid brand.

Sean & Mr. D; yeah lucky I am I guess. I've got three shops in my local center that sell all that is still made, and another few near work. I guess that comes from living in a city of 12 million...  Skj.

I really love these ones Skorj, the top one especially, but I've always been fond of big earthmoving equipment too. That last one reminds me of...does anyone here remember a rather B-Grade horror/sci-fi film called "Killdozer"?  http://imdb.com/title/tt0071717/ :)
Most of my peel apart stuff I have been limited to getting from unsaleable or ebay. I have never even used the legendary 665. I did get some in an ebay deal but the chemicals had dried out and the tabs wouldn't pull properly either so I have never had a Polaroid negative/positive experience. Occasionally I'll get lucky and find some out of date stuff in smaller photo-shops but buying in-date stuff is rather expensive in the land of Oz. As for 400 speed film? Haven't seen it at all...
There certainly do seem to be benefits to living in a city of 12 million! (not to mention all those great street photography shots you get)
