Farewell
« on: November 18, 2011, 09:37:34 PM »
Or the last ten polaroids I'll ever take.
I had had this box of Polaroid 600 in my fridge since 2009. It expired in october of that year.
It's the last I bought and saved up for a special occasion.
Nothing notable ever presented itself. So as it was time to move on, and fall was slowly fading into winter, I took out the camera and that film for one last walk in the autumn colors.

A good set. The last one is sweet and somehow poignant. So long, 600.

Great set. Strong images and a lovely, melancholic feel to the undertaking...it might be worth considering adding some extra text and re-submitting this to the "Photo essays" board; this is the type of thing we're after.

Agree with the others, a lovely set.

Summer gives way to autumn with the fallen leaves.

Thank you for sharing.

Lovely.

And not for nothing, but even 2 years past expiration, it kicks that TIP film's ass.

Wow, very cool I've been wanting to shoot polaroid since i've started photography but then polaroid went bankrupt to no excitement and I wish I could live with myself using TIP film. The only problem with the TIP film is the horrendous scaling and degradation of the image so you must scan it as soon a possible if you want it permanent. It will take awhile to perfect I guess. :'(

A lovely set to mark your last pack.

I still have  6 or so packs of 600, but, given the price it seems to be reaching on the bay it would make more sense to sell it rather than use it - pondering.

And then there are the cameras; do I keep them just in case TIP really sort things out?

Keep them. If they (or anyone else) gets real Polaroid film together, it would cost you more to buy them back than you'd ever get for selling them now. And if not, they'll make great paperweights.

I love them all!
You should just put them all in a big frame together...sorta a tribute.

Those colors are really eye-catching! :)

Yesss this is a sweet last goodbye. Picture nÂș9 was my favorite.

The colors are just beautiful. If TIP could come at least close to this...
