I've always wanted one of these.  The results are nice - the lens renders pleasantly. I hope you enjoy using it. How is the mirror slap on this camera?

Great camera indeed, and the results are awesome! I really really like the first one!

At some point I was looking for one as well but the prices put me off a bit so I bought another TLR (which happens to be my Rolleicord)

Very nice images.

However, My Kiev goes 'krumppp[ski]' :-) IS there something wrong with it?

[apologies; I seem to have been affected by a miasma of mince-pie dust. I bought some boxes cheap from the shop and they must have been dropped from a great height and they are toast! Well, dust actually. ]

I paid for mine 70 pounds which is the cheapest price which i seen here in china some sellers want sale them for 800 pounds!!! :) ( yeh Chinese are crazy).

Last time i walk with my rolleicord Va some chinese ask me that cost 2000 pounds because is rollei from Germany :) . I was obviously quite scared they become so friendly start touching camera. I told them that is rolleicord which iS russian fake of rolleiflex . After that they lost their interest at all :).

Fantastic. Is it new or old? I'm haunting/hunting a KW Pilot Super, and it seems they have semi-similar designs.

quite a few of the FW "old guard" have and use great walls. They are amazing things.  Try it wide open and close-up - wonderful bokeh.

Hey! Not only was it a lucky guess on my part, but Moominsean has the scoop:

I've never heard of this camera - such wonderful results and you're off to a great start with your HC-110 as well!

Yeah, well one of the 'great' things about the Great Wall is that it's very easy to slap a non-standard/modified/butchered/home-made lens on the front and just get shooting. I loved my Great Wall and only sold it to buy a Bronny S2A (don't regret doing that for a second BTW). I had the GW for about 3 years and used it a lot. The only drawback was the slowest top shutter speed, but if you can get one cheap then I'd recommend you snap it up. Best thing about them is their size; super small for a 120 SLR.....also I'd  say the mirror slap isn't any louder than my Bronica (which in turn was about the same as the Kiev 60 that I also used to own).

beat me to it!

the great wall is one of those cameras i use a lot, then don't touch it for awhile, then use it a lot again. it's actually quite a competent camera if you don't always want the super bokeh look.

The more I look, the more I want one. Looks like they might not be as easy to come by anymore.

I was also looking for example images from random Wollensak lenses and I see a bunch of people selling old Wollensak enlarger lenses. Anyone know if they might have used the same screw mount?

The Pilot Super which inspired the Great Wall seems to be more common in the west, even though it's a much older camera. I see them on ebay once in a while, but always resist the temptation to bid.

In a way, the Exa is 35mm relative.

I don't know what the tread is on the Great Wall (I'd have to check Camerapedia). But I know enlarger lenses are almost always M39... which is also known as Leica screw mount.

there isn't anything with the same screw mount as the great wall. but people still manage to stick other lenses in front of the thing...
