So glad to see TK with a gallery here!
He has a remarkable eye, and wields a Holga with amazing finesse.
Time and Tide is my fav.

Good show!

phil - your colour shots are great - I really like the punchy yet not overdone colours, and the grainyness works really well too.

Great use of color in this set, and even more pleased to see Holga work relying on strong thought and composition (rather than cliched vignetting). Nice. Arigato. Skorj.

Three words - absolutely bloody brilliant! Now, (because three words is never enough for me), here's some more! I love the colour you have captured with your Holga and the subtle B&W compositions too Phil. The Hasselblad shots are beautiful too. Your sunflowers, redbarn and "Holga mistake" make me gasp in astonishment.
Now you've made me want to chase up some of that Fuji NPZ 800 film!

Well my friends.....and I do consider you friends, thank you so much for your kind words. The invitation to have a guest gallery blew me away and the beautiful responses have moved me. In the last few weeks I have been made redundant and at 49 one wonders about ones future, to get such a positive reaction has lifted me beyond words so I thank you for that. I am off to Crete for two weeks alone in less than 8 hours, I will check the forum as and when alcohol allows....but I will be back! This is my first trip there just taking MF...I have always had 35mm as a crutch...wish me luck.
As far as I am able to ascertain all that happens here is positive and with purpose.........now who was it that invited me over here????? I remember some rather lovely person from California...thank you Susan, to be amongst like minded people is great, I don't contribute as much as I would like but then I am a shy soul!...One of these days I'll start a topic myself.

Have fun and be nice to each other and Ευχαπιστώ Πολύ!  ;)

Hey Phil. I hope you're having a great time in Crete  :) In the meantime please accept an additional pat on the back from Mr Ed (for what it's worth). Just when I think I can't bear to look at another collection of Holga pictures, something like this pops up and makes me change my mind. Colour, composition, grain, punch, awesome skies....a joy to look at and savour and none of the usual dreary Holga fare as alluded to by Skorj in his comment. Well done matey; great stuff.

Also, good on you for sucessfully using the NPZ in a Holga. A few years ago I started using the Fuji NP? range of films in my Holga and I never really got on with them, but you've got the NPZ jumping through hoops for you. Maybe I should have moved up from ASA400 and tried the ASA800? Hmmm.

Anyway, let's see more of you here once you're back from Crete. maybe tell us how you get those incredible, dense, angry skies.

Phil does fantastic work with a Holga. This series only reinforces it. Wonderfully strong series.
