Great work as usual everyone! My favorites so far are...

Axia's Baby Rollei Diptych - Love the damp feeling and the fallen leaves! Great perspective as well.

Original Ann's summer shots! - The colors are so great on all of them! I really like the first and the third :)

Here are a few more from the roll of New Portra 400 I put through the Rolleiflex a few weeks back...

Becky - that's no Yak. Unless very much mistaken, it's a "Highlan' Coo"  ;D

Three of us packed some tripods and went Shuto hunting on a late Saturday night. Hot day, cool summer sea breeze, to the sounds of bosozuku and WR-X pop-off valves screaming overhead, we practiced our long exposures.

I have to say this weekend is churning out some amazing pictures - I'm so proud to be part of such a talented bunch.

highlights for me so far:

All of Ann's pics, but especially the shallow DOF sand.

Mauricio's Becher-esque tower - love it.

Becky's Donkey (who doesn't love a Donkey?)

Britt's leaves and cobbles - wonderful colour.

Miles's trees and megaliths.

Skorj's fly-over - knockout fine.

Keep them coming.

Yesterday I went back to the location of our ramble a couple of weeks ago. Here's a few results (might have some panos later).

Peter, these are really lovely.  My favorite is the middle image of the non-panos.  The light on the leaves is something special.  I'd love to see a big print of this one!

Fantastic photos all around!! It really cheered up my evening here in Khartoum. We arrived three days ago from Manila and the landing is being kind of difficult. Beginnings in new countries are always challenging, finding a house, car, moving around, finding places, friends, adjusting to the new job... and in a place like Khartoum the challenge gets bigger. Dust everywhere, blazing sun, chaotic city... the fact that have been previously in Africa and Arab countries help, but then little Alma has been sick since our arrival. Fever, soar throat, not eating... and that´s the difficult part. Anyway! ;D as said watching all these fantastic shots helps keeping in touch with what is familiar: this great group of photographers. As per myself nothing to add, my equipment is at customs, I will try to reclaim it tomorrow but I have heard all kind of nightmares about it... As per shooting I have taken some shots indoors. Here in Sudan if you want to shoot you need an authorization from ministry of tourism and they are kind of strict with it, specially when you photograph the wrong places, like bridges, airports, official buildings... Ja, ja, I am afraid I sounded too gloomy. I am sure little Alma will get better, we´ll find a great place and shooting will happen sooner than expected  :D

This weekend I specially like Sapata´s rolleicord, what a magnificent camera!!!
Ann´s first beach shot full of energy
And first class Peter shots, specially the third one from the top

Khartoum! Just the prospect of moving somewhere so different blows my mind. I wish you the very best in your new adventure, keep us updated in how you get on.

This rather tame shot seems to pale a little in light of that. From my recent holiday in Cornwall, the Jubilee pool in Penzance.

Oh man, I hope Alma will be better real soon! I can't imagine moving to such a different country! Even the move from Germany to France isn't that easy. But I don't think I should be complaining here!

Nigel ! so jealous of your picture... pretty cool!
I was in there last year or so but couldn't take any pictures as there were people inside the pool... didn't want the police arresting me!

My dear friends thank you for your good wishes!!  :D Much appreciated! Today I went to customs with no results, I needed a customs agent but it seems my organization can provide one; as they say here mafi mushkila (no problem), so I take it easily.

Nigel, that´s a fantastic shot, really.

Calbisu....yes they are trees..this is a kinda garage/woodstorage at a neighbors...our property is a 4+ acre forest...so lots of trees plus  deer/coyotes/ you name it! A Bobcat actually came into my little forest and stole 3 of my kittens..and jumped on my front porch with no regard whatsoever for me a foot a way ..so yes, living in a forest is really nice except when you have to worry about what animal may show up! :) BTW..the bobcat was one of the most beautiful animals I had ever seen...and he was so close!!

Nigel- that Holga shot is beautiful....I just keep looking and looking at it.  So rich with color and I can almost feel the light breeze there.  Ahhhh!

Diane, so sorry to hear of your kittens!  I live in a similar place, so the "critters" are definitely interesting.
Love the shed photo!

Best wishes to little Alma.  Can't wait to see more photos of her in her new place!  How exciting!

Diane - Wow, that really sounds like a REAL forest; I am coming from Europe, so the most dangerous things we have in spain.... mmmhh, no dangerous things around. You just can lay on the grass, overnight there and nothing will happen to you.  ;D

Becky, thanks for the good wishes!  ;D
