A little plug
« on: February 16, 2007, 09:19:41 AM »
Some toy camera & pinhole photography people from Melbourne are going to be exhibiting their works at the Kerala Gallery ~ http://www.keralagallery.com.au/ in Northcote, (Melbourne, Australia) next week and through to the 8th of March, so if anyone is in Melbourne at that time, please feel free to check it out - the opening night is on the 22nd of Feb from 6:30pm - 8:30pm.
I will be hanging three of my plastic fantastic shots, it's the first time for me (that's right, I'm an exhibition virgin!)

Also I have a new website called the plastic lens ~ http://www.theplasticlens.com which features (as the name might suggest) toy camera photography, I'd be chuffed if you took the time to check it out and let me know what you think. Cheers.
 :)

I had a very nice visit, and enjoyed the mix of color and B&W.
Totally love the Pelicans!
Congrats on the show too.

Thanks all! Just quickly checking in from work ~ I delivered the photos to the gallery for hanging yesterday, now all I have to do is work out what dress to wear for the opening!  ;D

A little plug? Sounds like just the stuff for a FW forum... Good luck. Pity I cannot make it. I might try and send a proxy though. Skj.

Thanks Skorj. A proxy? Sounds sort of mysterious! Will they be wearing a pink carnation or something so I can identify them?  :D

Well done, Cameron. Hope it goes well and that you wear something snappy to the opening.

congrats on the show.  the first is always a bit daunting.  I'd like to say it gets easier, but it hasn't for me.

btw, "chuffed" is a good thing, right?

Thank you very much Ed, Susan and Theresa. The opening night is Tonight, so I'm pretty excited (and nervous) but work will distract me from all that for a little while!
Theresa ~ please forgive my use of the colloquialism "chuffed" I have no idea where it comes from, perhaps from one of my favourite childhood stories "The Little Red Engine That Could" but yes, it's a good thing!  :D

...and just on a personal note, not wanting to embarrass you Susan, but I want to thank you (yes, again) for introducing me to medium format and toy camera photography in the first place.  :-*
