I bought a Bronica SQ-A. It was in working order.
I had shot half a roll on it. I was talking someone and wanted to remove the back to show them something.
Instead of pressing the button on the side I pressed together the levers on the top and the back cover opened revealing the film and the film holder started to pop out.
I instinctively pushed, with some force, the cover back on. Now it doesn’t work. The winder keeps turning and doesn’t stop, it doesn’t cock the shutter. The gears on the film back has engaged as I can see the winder on the film back turning and the frame counter keeps turning. I can wind the entire roll on to the take up spool and winder doesn’t stop, click. I tried using fresh rolls but it doesn’t work.
I can clock the shutter by selecting the multiple exposure mode so I assume that’s working.
Any idea how I can fix it or what’s wrong or where I can get more info. I’ve tried google but the posts I’ve found don’t relate to my problem. I’ve only got one film back and in the process of buying other one but would like to see if this is fixable.
Any info appreciated.
