Hi Folks

I have just got round to starting to put the website together although its pretty much first draft: http://www.carls-gallery.co.uk and the only gallery with images is the pinhole one. Any feedback appreciated - I set out to make it a little more light hearted than your usual offering in that I have written a little about the image - its not a show case of my best work more of what is important to me.

Hi Carl--

Looks great. I love that shot of the paddling pool.

The only small note I have is that it took me a minute to realize you had to click on the photo for the pinhole gallery to link to your gallery.
First, I tried clicking on the title--that didn't work. You might want to link the title also to save from confusion? Or not. Just an idea, since it stumped me for a second.
But I'm suffering from a severe head cold, so I'll use that as my dim excuse.

looking good carl - a nice clean feel.  ONe tiny criticism (if i may) - the gallery page feels a little bit cluttered to me.  I'd prefer several pages with only a few images on each - but that is just a very minor point.  Over all, very nice indeed.

Thanks for taking the time to look.

Susan - I will thing about this again but as long as it only took a moment to work it out thats ok - nice to make people thing just a little before entering.

Leon - I though long about single pages and in some ways its a little easier to do but then people can become very selective about what they look at - in a way I thing its good to look at something that is not immediate obvious or pleasing. John Blakemore told me you learn as much by forcing yourself to look at work that you might not appreciate or do but that this will help you develope. I appreciate time and ease are very important though - as I said this will develope a little yet especially if all the feedback points in the same direction - that said if I like it then....
