Very nice, Diane

I seem to be constantly playing catch-up with my images - anyway, Hasselblad 501cm Kodak BWCN in a derelict hotel in Crete.

Diane - I really like that and great depth of field, from a camera I've never heard of.

Love the shot too. The Vicar chap was always too ferocious when I lived there and I never got up there either. Choral evensong was lovely though..

Thanks Phil, I didn't know you were in Bath?!

It was absolutely freezing and my hands were blocks of ice so I couldn;t get many shots as I couldn't even feel the shutter. I plan to go back soon though, for a day trip.

The very narrow staircase was a bit of a precarious climb. Especially as I was laden down with winter coat, scarf, hat, gloves, cameras.. luckily they gave me a cup of mulled wine at the top to rejuvenate me  ;D

Philly, from spring, but printed last night - again and again and again.

And this one is from a brief warm-up, last Sunday.  Almost hit 45F.

Another great start. Wondrous stuff already from Suzi, Miller, Andrea and J Warden. However, Phil, your shot of the the guy with the magnifying glass would be a peach in my project for 2011. I LOVE THIS PLACE.

As a big fan of Andre Kertesz, I'm looking to produce a selection of contemporary interpretations of his work "On Reading".

For those unfamiliar with this Kertesz, "On Reading" is a book of candid photos of people reading - taken in all manner of situations but with the common thread that the subjects are oblivious to him as they are engrossed in reading matter. My idea is not, therefore, original but Kertesz did not have the advantage of people using mobile phones, iPads and other multi-media players.

I haven't got much to play with just yet but I'll post what I get when I can...
"An ounce of perception. A pound of obscure".

Still tweaking that Ikoflex TLR.  Shot another roll yesterday.  I do like the Tessar on that thing--and the VF is just incredibly bright.  These are Foma 400 stand developed in Rodinal.

I really just went out to try out the camera and nonetheless found two new subjects--or rather two that I had overlooked.

been away from the scanner lately but hoping to turn things around this month.

here's two gems that were passed over the first time, found years later from i don't know when or where
fuji 100 (not sure about these colors.  i kind of like them but i'm not sure if that's what the print would look like.  i like to present images the way i would print them.)

Thanks, Paul. I have quite a few shots of people reading that I have never used. They are great for close, candid shots and if they are old they are slow as well  ;D. It's only looking back that I realised that I have not used most of them. Sounds like a great project. These people shots are my to and from work project when I only carry my Holga.

Diane, Love that shot, never heard of the camera.
Phil, love that chair shot and that cafe shot makes me laugh. Reminds me of myself.
Andrea, great pattern in that curtain.
Suzi, love that shot. Looks like a tilt shift to me.
Harvey, that second shot of the country road is really lovely.
Miller, I cannot get over that color! Wow!
Tkmedia, great find with the wall art!
Jwarden, love both but the second really appeals to me.
Terry, love the simplicity of the second shot, especially with the branches.
Becky, lovely and mysterious!
Fwank, great lines!
Aoluain, digging that bike shot a lot!

Here is mine for the weekend. Shot on 665 with my 450 land cam. This house was only recently vacated and there is a sign on the "gate" in the front of the house that says Bank Owned. This place is a disaster and I cant imagine anybody buying it. I think this is how abandoned houses get their start out here.

Another great weekend worth of pictures!

I have been playing around with 1600 B&W film. I found 3200 has got way too much grain for my taste, I'm still not sure about 1600. Anyway, here are two shots from London using Neopan 1600.
