I couldn't access the forum at home this morning, has there been a problem or is it my orange internet again?

It's not your ISP Mr Windy - it is something that our host often does.  They claim it's to do with other service users hogging bandwidth, but assured us it wouldn't happen after they recently transferred us to a new server - that seems to not be the case. I used to regularly notice the site being down, but more recently it seems to have been ok until today.

On the other hand, our host recently shut us down as someone had hacked an unused part of the site and hijacked it to sell illicit prescription medication.  Our host thankfully talked Ed, Skorj and Susan through what we needed to do and the problem was solved in a few hours. We had operatives working on it from the Americas, Europe and Asia!

I dont think this was anything to do with the downtime this morning, but it could be some after effects.

it was 'down' for me most of Monday during daytime hours here in the States and on short occasions fairly regularly. I've also encountered issues when traveling. While I was in Lithuania I couldn't log in at all - error read that I was on a 'spamming IP.'

Thank you all. It's the first time I haven't been able to login for a long time. I had a problem a while back when I couldn't access at home but could at work. Good to know it's not re-occuring  :)

Sorry about that! As 99.999% of access from Lithuania is to spam us, we err on the side of caution. If this is an ongoing issue for you, we can see what we can do! Sorry! Skj.

This also explains why sales of my illicit lithuanian medicine have dropped over the last few days.
