One big reason I'm giving thanks today.  Found a new model and... yup.

wow, she reminds me of Audry Hepburn a bit.

Here's mine for the early weekend and long holiday...
My pinhole camera, a custom made beauty from Randy over at Holgamods, and a pinhole shot of fruit salad from today's meal.

enjoy!

Hookstrapped - you can't half pick 'em! Gorgeous model and the top photo does have more than a touch of the Audrey Hepburn about it. Beautiful work.

Astrobeck - love the salad. I must get round to changing my unhealthy diet and this is the sort of incentive I need...

Pyran9 - Love the panoramas. Difficult to choose a fave - but the bottom one is a neck ahead in my eyes

Heather - I am clueless as to what a Bleigeissen is but the second shot is a wee cracker. Love the colours.

Phil - speaking of colours - this has quality smeared thick all over it. How many derelict hotels are there in Crete and which tour operator keeps sending you there?

Here's my feeble effort (for now). Hasselblad 500c/m with Distagon 60mm f3.5 and Fuji Acros 100.

Hope to post more tomorrow - taken with a new toy....

Uh, wow! That's quite an opening, 'Wasters!

Mr Angry....that's a damn fine country lane at dusk. Top of the class!   :)

Pyran9: I love the colour palette from those Vivitar panos. Extraordinary.

Becky: I'm all about the pinhole these days and have been shooting a lot of 5x4 through my Tachihara. I love the way your new pinhole camera looks.

My own effort (even though it's Thursday evening here in the UK so this normally wouldn't feel right, except I've spent the last few hours thinking it was Friday until Jacqui set me straight!) was taken in August, but I forgot about it until now. A huge sea rescue helicopter flew low over the beach we were on in Cornwall and I managed to grab this snap using my Land Cam 360 and some Polacolor 125i film + the usual stain.

Bigger here.

More food shots from me soon. But for now let's start with spices. Shot with my Minolta X-300 and the 100mm f/4 wide open on Fuji Pro 400H. I forgot how shallow the DOF really is so only a few shots came out OK.

Hookstrapped.  As everybody else has said, she is a lovely model and these are great photos'

Peter. I was wondering when we would see more of your Ridgeway photos.  This is a lovely series.  Must book mark your Ridgeway site.

Phil.  These wouldn't be abandoned containers in Crete by any chance?

Urban, Didn't one of the members here set up a food site, foodwasters or something like that?  These lovely images.  I remember reading a article in a photo magazine where a food photographer was showing how he got his images for advertisements etc.  Shaving foam on beer and other such tricks. Generally it semed that in most of the photos some alternative product or other was used to highlight a foods attribute.

Suzi Love the one of the boy in the bath. (Sorry Suzi and thanks for the correction.)

Lovely set of images all round.

OK, finally got my film back!
Here are a few of the pictures, all shot near the autoroute (highway/freeway for most people).
With all the construction and the traffic, getting to those places on foot was pretty scary...

Thanks Phil. I got one more out of this recent snowfall that I'm partial to.  A few, overexposed, leaned toward solarization.  A couple of those I liked but many the solarization 'got in the way.'

Some great images as usual. I love Ed's Sea King helicopter image, the staining really sets it off.

I know summer's a long way off here in England, but here's a few more scarecrow shots. Holga and Kodak Portra 400VC.

I don't think I can do that for my images as my wife and me actually want to eat the food afterwards ;) But I've heard of that stuff, too. Not my cup of tea though.

Snap from a couple of weeks ago when the sun shone and it was warmer. On the island of Great Bernera is this wonderful wall that snakes across the landscape. Can never seem to pass without snapping it. This was that day's snap. Hasselblad 50mm lens. HP5 @800 Rodinal

Thanks Hookstrapped. Glad you like my snaps. I've always wanted a good quality pocketable 120 folder and I've just acquired a Voigtlander Perkeo I. The pics are from the very first roll of film I put through it (more as a test than anything) and I just made an educated guess at the exposure.

Terry also seems to think I'm a conduit for the continuing exploits of Fritz Lang. Mind you, working in the City of London does share more than a hint of certain scenes from "Metropolis".... :)

Those shots are great, I love the colour ones. I also loved Suzi's shots especially the second one.

I have a series I shot in what I thought were derelict buildings, only to have the owner/dweller come to chat with me, an interesting guy who lives here and refuses to sell to developers.

In this shot and the earlier, colour photos, I think she has a slight look of Angelina Jolie. Lovely images, every one.
