Hi All

prompted by a query in a different thread, here is a reminder that people are free to download and use the filmwasters logo design (thanks to Skorj and Sean) for anything they like - tee shirts, bags, underwear, tattoos etc. the world is your lobster.

It was on some clipart site. I probably stole it, but it may have been free. I'm giving myself the benefit of the doubt.

BTW, for those who don't know, Sean designed our awesome film box logo; possibly with some input from Skorj?

Yup, Skorj supplied the original Fuji film box, and made suggestions as I went along. I have the original illustrator file, i could make some color variations probably if I felt like it.

It's a hand made vector file. So I can make it up to double wide highway billboard size

The problem with the logo we've got on the site is that it's just plain too freakin' small to use in anything big without major pixelation. Even when I have it autotraced, it looks even worse. So no logo for now.

I wonder if Ed can enable PDF attachments? It's the only easy way to post vector graphics.

I found a trick to vectorize the tiny hasselblad icon we're using!

Looks like a good start but some of the bezier curves and polygon paths can be improved and simplified by modifying and or deleting some control points a bit more.

Maybe I can improve it a bit...

They're actually artifacts not from my tracing program but from Photoshop itself!
What I did was take the mini icon and enlarged it using Alien Skins Blow-Up. But that left fuzzy edges that are hard to understand for the autotrace. So I then applied a stamp filter to smooth the edges and traced from that. Just a bit of photoshop and a retrace would fix everything.

Here's a cleaned-up version.

I guess that's the actual size. But it only takes 5 minutes to create your own!
