I've done the workshop (see 'workshop advice' thread). Boy, was it hard work.
16 A level students with no experience of non-digital photography and not a clue what an Aperture was. We had fun making a Camera Obscura - they were amazed by that and it took them a while to get the concept. Then we made pinhole cameras, took still lifes and portraits with them and developed them in a make-shift darkroom in the stock cupboard. They all came away with at least one properly exposed paper negative that they can scan and muck around with in photoshop, and some idea of the magic of 'proper' photography. The time went incredibly fast so we didn't have time to do any contact printing or hand coating processes but there's always room for another workshop! Thanks for your advice guys.
