Great lines in that first shot. My eye is lead all over the image by the stairs and the railing and the windows and I love that reflection of light on the floor!

And on the shot of the girl, I cant tell you how much I love the light bouncing off her hair! Wow!!!

Here is my shot. Its part of a new series and one that I will be submitting to a few contests. I am shooting the series on TIP's PX600 FF film specifically because the future of the image is in question, just like the future of the subjects in the image.

This image here is taken from my "yard" looking out across my land to Alpine Butte in the distance. In reality, that butte looks much, much closers and a heck of a lot bigger.

3 lovely images so far!

Shot this last weekend and processed during the week.
I took this with the Mamiya 645 Super on Ilford SFX200
processed in Ilfosol3 and cropped to a square.

Couldnt remember how many stops to compensate for
the R72 type filter, this was shot with +6 and then recovered
a bit in PS . . . next roll will be +5!

Hoping to get out on Sunday with another roll, the weather
on the west coast is looking good for then . . .

Erin, Blaxton, Ed: Many thanks. The shot is an old water tower here in Seattle. I've got a few other negs of this tower's interior kicking around taken with the Diana 151 & a Zeiss Super Ikonta but I think the Plaubel shot is the better of them all, followed by the Diana shot.

Made an early start last Wednesday morning, took a walk after leaving my eldest at the ferry terminal - and the sun was shining. Taken using the OM10, Neopan 400 @200 developed in 1+ 50 Rodinal for 8 mins (thought I'd try something different)

Last week I went to Mallorca Island... not very inspired. Just couple of rolls.. what to do?

Two more portraits (my nephews) from the Pentax 67 with the extension ring from couple of weeks ago. Promise I won´t be posting portraits for a while... have to try different things (I think this is the first time I am using a roll of 220, and it was smooth. I do not know why but I was expecting high catastrophe from a 220 roll...

).

To late they have gone. Stephan turned up with his un-licensed legs showing and they took off in the rain. If you hear the rescue helicopter going out later you'll know it was rough over Clisham way!

I've been having a look through my hard drive to see what's worth posting. These are from a couple of years ago but I like spotting old photos I like that I haven't seen for a while.

The one of the cat (Tootsie) is a memory-jerker as he died a few years ago. He was my wife's oldest cat when we got together and was a real character. However, he liked nothing more than lying in the sun. That was from a Nikon F3 with (probably) a 50mm f1.4

The other two were taken on my old Leica M6. The one with the archway was taken at Somerset House (entrance from Strand side) with a 35mm Summicron. The long shadow was early winter morning on the cobbled pavement outside St Paul's Cathedral with a Voigltander 28mm f1.9.

Aoluain - What a dramatic sky! Its so unexpected with that neat white building.

A type 664 goop shot, scanned as RGB. I can't quite figure out why most go to sepia when scanned as RGB and a few go to this maroon hue. My process is to scan into PS, invert and equalize. What does everyone es;e use as their goop process?

If you Google Ridgeway you'll find lots of info. I found this link to a Google map someone has marked up with the route.

The bit I'm concentrating on is the section from where it crosses the M4 near Swindon to where it meets the Thames at Streatly. I'm aiming to walk or cycle that section. Not all at once, but in small bits over a period of time - maybe a year.

Here's a couple more from yesterday. The first one shows Didcot Power Station (I live in Didcot) which dominates the view for much of the section from Wantage to where you cross the A34.

Thanks for the link Peter. By sheer chance, I've already walked a small section of this ridge at the easternmost end as it reaches the Ashridge Estate (National Trust) north of Berkhamstead. This is a fantastic place for bluebells at the end of April / beginning of May - but you MUST be there before 06:00 to stake a claim at the weekend as it can be very busy with photographers.

I'll definitely check out sections of this route as I'm looking for something that's sort of upland but which my damaged knees can cope with. East Anglia, where I live, has so little of interest to me visually that I am always looking for options within a couple of hours' drive, so this looks ideal.

PS - Thanks also for the additional images. Both are spectacular.

Finally got around to scanning to shots taken this Spring... I can't exactly call it "instant processing"

I left most of the dust on them... didn't feel like spending endless hours on photoshop...

First one is a ventilation shaft for a local college.
Second one is from an art exhibit. I wasn't supposed to take any pictures... but I got away with this one. Not that I'm a big fan of memento-mori but I was surprised that it framed perfectly in the mirror. I was going to save it for Halloween... but what the heck, lets just post it now

Come on Miles, you can do it! Though if this is your first time developing film, I suggest you go out and blow about 4 or 5 rolls on shots you dont care about before you attempt the rolls you do care about. Agitation takes some getting used to and you might over do it the first time. Making sure you get the film clean completely with the fixer also took some getting used to. I found a website that listed everything that could possibly go wrong with b&w film developing and showed little pictures of it and I ran into almost every single one of those problems. But I got it straight by the 6th or 7th roll and have good ever since.

Awesome pix btw, very unique angles you've chosen, especially with the bottom image. Im strangely drawn to that image. A lot. I think it reminds of when I was a kid, in the summer time, lying down in the shade. I can almost smell the grass, which is nice since Im surrounded by rocks and sand and havent felt the cool green grass between my toes in quite some time now.

I might ask leon about home dev too...i've only done it in nice little darkrooms especially designed with all chemicals laid out and bottle openers and scissors on chains

Lucky enough to be given an SX70 by a friend (the only film I can find is the Impossible Projects First Flush).
These are the very first four shots.
The last one is after Heather thankfully told me I had to keep it dark for the first 10 seconds...
