New Audio Podcast Now Available: September 2010
« on: September 04, 2010, 12:58:02 AM »
Team, I've finally finished editing the 2nd half of the conversation I had with Phil & Matt in July and it's now available online to stream or download.

http://filmwasters.com/podcast

"Episode 16: Terrorkitten Was Born – September 2010

After an unscheduled delay brought on by a busy summer, we bring you part 2 of our conversation with Bath-based photographer, Phil Bebbington & Matt Wells from AG Photographic. Topics under discussion are Phil’s  travels through Crete & the Southern USA, whether Kodak actually make anything anymore, how much Ilford spend each week on silver, Matt’s debut “Mythbusters” rant and much more."

i enjoyed that....
envy phil's ability to go off on his own to shoot, i'll look forward to that one day, like ed i don't really try to shoot with other people anymore, it's like two different head spaces, if i'm lucky some snaps might be more than i hoped but usually not.

and that's the matt i've been emailing back and forward about a lens, poor man :)

Thanks Ed, Phil & Matt lovely podcast.

I do make time occasionally to go out by myself to take photos but even then I am always concious that I have left others behind.  A bit easier now the kids can entertain themselves but it does place pressures on you to wrap up and get back.

Matt's behind the scenes info on various of the manufacturers and mythbusters was interesting.  The internet can propergate a lots of misinformation and it can take ages to find the reality behind this.  Sometime they turn out to be correct but other times incorrect.

Ah! so that's why it's called terrorkitten.  Excellent idea it sure made me visit the site to see what was going on.  Not necessary the first time I came across it but eventually.

Thank guys.

Mike

Glad the responses so far have been encouraging; all feedback gratefully received. It was indeed fascinating getting Matt on for the inside scoop on the retail side of photography.

had a first listen now. good show! sure was interesting listening to phil and his ways but for the film part I spooled back more than once to relisten some bits~~ haha! it's actually really interesting getting to know the film industry better and how it works right now.

I'll be relistening this a while till I snap everything up, but I'm already looking forward to the next podcast. got some more stuff you haven't edited yet? ;)

Hang on!

Fuji Neopan 400Cn is (largely) made in the UK, then shipped to Japan, then packaged, then shipped back to the UK and then sold for 37% less than the XP2 that was made in the same factory in the UK and hasn't been off around the world?

How is that logical or moral?  I'm being encouraged to buy the Neopan which has 25,000 carbon miles on the clock?!

Am I missing something here?

Tell me it ain't so

(whispers - 7dayshop are selling some expired Neopan for £1.99 which makes it nearly half the price of the UK XP2)

Just got round to listening (busy life) and very much enjoyed it. Both Phil and Matt were very entertaining.
