2010... and when I think I've been coming here since it started years ago!
OK, a quick shot taken yesterday. I decided to frame myself for a shot. Only thing is I had to use my favorite voice activated remote triggering device... which also goes by the name "mom" :)
Polaroid 600... first pack I tried was totally cooked so I had to take another one out of the fridge.

I think I better not think where time actually goes... I like to think that it is all relative.

One of me. This is an overnight exposure of the NYC skyline as viewed from my apartment's roof, followed by a 4-minute exposure of my ugly mug :D

Taken on a Zero Image medium format pinhole camera on Kodak Portra 120 scanned on an Epson V500

Here's mine. It was an interesting exercise. I've shot a number on digital and its quite easy, a bit more involved on film I think. I've put details on my blog but an added problem of taking them with my Bronica is the lack of a delayed action setting. Amazing it wasn't until I came to do this that I even realised it didn't have one. Obviously not something I tend to use often.

I tried to do this as a portrait rather than a self portrait but entirely without outside assistance so here you are. Bit "rabbit in the headlights" I think.

This is me in an image taked by a Yashica Mat of a friend.

We met five or six friends, we all film amateurs, in an old and abandonned factory near Valencia —Spain—; spent a fantastic morning and wasted some rolls and 4x5 film sheets.

The Minolta Himatic 9 you can see is my only 35 mm. camera; I'm really satisfied with its Rokkor 1.7/45mm.

I've been trying to get a decent selfie to add to this thread. I think this qualifies. Fuji Velvia 100F crossprocessed in C41. Does Velvia have some sort of extra layer on it? Because there was this weird junk in my tank after I opened it...

Anyways, here I am :)

(painting in the background is supposed to be of Public Enemy, which the painter did on stage with me when I was playing at a PE afterparty)

Hi everyone. My name is Mario, I've followed this forum for a while and I found this place so friendly that I'd like being part of it, even though I'm just a beginner on developing film (not printing yet). // Now living in Argentina (my country of birth) after almost twenty years of New York life. Working in a provincial theater in a coastal city 300 miles south of Buenos Aires and living in Sierra de los Padres, a small community in the countryside. Only a few toys: The corpse of a Minolta X700 (after its infamous capacitor died on me so many times that I gave up for good); a Olympus Trip 35 that I bought recently at a street market and became my companion; that behemoth of a camera known as Mamiya RZ67, which I’m still trying to tame; and humbly restoring a 1908 Watson & Sons 8 x 10 spanish mahogany and brass field camera, secretly hoping to use someday. No decent self-portrait as yet (except for the trite rearview mirror shot that I included nevertheless), so I promise to get one soon.

Hi, Mario and welcome to filmwasters  :)

Be sure to have a poke around the various boards and join in as and when it feels right. I'm not sure that we have anyone here from Argentina, but, I'm sure that I will be corrected quite quickly if I'm wrong  :-[

It's always a ton of fun diving into this thread a couple of times a year & thanks for keeping it interesting. Phil...look what you started!  8) :D

Verian almost got banned for posting a 'cute kitten' photo, but I'll let him have one more life due to services rendered to the FW cause over the last year. BUT NO MORE BL**DY KITTENS from now on, please. This isn't The Internet or anything like that is it, so don't....oh wait  :-[ :D

Welcome to all of the newcomers; it's always exciting getting new people involved. I hope you'll enjoy the kitten pictures and the arguments about not arguing.

Slightly alarmingly, we have all learned that Indofunk has weird junk in his tank. Dude, it means a lot that you feel able to share, but I'm not sure I can shake the image.  ;D ;D

Here's the most recent SP of yours truly. It was taken 2 years ago & I may even have posted it before in this thread.

Hi there,

I don't really have a self-portrait only this:

I stumbled onto this forum through a referral from my site. I made a tutorial on how to build a shutter for a pinhole camera with an old  computer floppy disc and someone here linked to it.
I just wanted to say hi and I'm looking forward to joining the discussion here, seems like a friendly place. I live in Hong Kong and I mainly shoot 35mm :)

One of me taken on a Lubitel 2 with a hint of photoshop manipulation (is that allowed?).

Just getting started using film and classic/vintage cameras.

I have to rely on labs to do my processing but one day, one day I tell you, i'll do it myself (wife permitting) ;)

Hello  film users.

I have been involved in photography since 1959, now retired I still enjoy creating images, and collecting cameras .

My collection isn't that large about 60 in total  from the very old like my Pony Premo and the  more modern like my Mimolta Maxxum, most of my collection gets used every now and then not just for display . I also have several home made cameras.

Self portrait take with a home made 120 pinhole cameras .

Is it a fully fretted 3 string or a 4 string one?
Thing is if it's 3 string and fully fretted you can tune it like a cigar box guitar and have something perfect for playing the blues that can be learned in an afternoon.

Hello, film wasters!

I'm new to the forum but have been lurking for a while. I'm always excited to find more communities of analog enthusiasts.

Anyway, I'm an Ohio-based photographer, a recovering print journalist, a husband and, recently, a father.

Nice to "meet" you all. I look forward to posting more.

Cheers.
