Welcome Leonore :)

Nice to have you drop by. I just realized that you're definitely adding some variety to our Leon collection  :o  ;)

OK, this is just the juvenile part of my brain getting hyperactive :)

Welcome Steve and Leonore.

Not been too long myself, but it's decidedly the best hangout there is. As Michael of FPP would say: Super Positive! And everybody is.

Hi,

I have just joined the forum after meeting Paul Mitchell in Thatcham a couple of weeks ago. I have been doing film photography again for the last 2 or 3 years having last done it as a teenager, which was er... a while ago!

I went down the digital path for a couple of years, but now that kit generally sits idle while I use my 35mm or 120 film kit.  I have been following the Film Photography Podcast for a couple of years, and I see some of the same names on here too.

Looking forward to being part of the community.

Jerry

Thank you muchly for the warm welcome, everyone.

Diane, I'm glad you enjoyed the blog. It's been a lot of fun doing the 365 project, and it's really been pushing me to learn more techniques and get better at the ones that I've already been using.
And yes, we ladies do seem to be a minority around here! I plan on sticking around to keep our numbers up ;) (well, also because everyone here is so talented and nice.)

Working out some kinks in the latest foamcore 8x10 pinhole. Light leaks... flaw or feature?? Anyway, I wasn't trying to look bored, but trying to assume a position I could hold for 96sec. I wasn't very successful. Imagine you've had one or two too many... this is what I look like.

There's actually a very long story to go with that Yikes. It's so strange I won't go into details here.

Lets just say that everybody who's been hanging around the forum for as long as I have will know what I'm talking about :)

Yowch, I've been remiss. How did I not post here sooner?

This one is a pinhole self portrait on Fujufilm FP-3000B 45 4x5 instant film, using a Zero Image 4x5. It was shot for this year's Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day. Very rainy day but fortunately the location had a bit of covering outside and serves good beer on tap.

I need to do one ... I WILL do one. I'm a quarter of my body weight lighter than the last time I saw most of you, so I think the new Leon shouldl be represented here .... although i was thinking of something along these lines for the Change collaboration.

I don't have many self-portraits but I've just come across this one which I took on Stac Pollaidh in the North-West of Scotland in June 1994; what struck me about the photo is that I still have the same red socks and wore them last week .. 18 years on and still in use.  They might have been a few years old when this was taken. The rucksack is still in use too although the weather on a trip to Glen Affric last week showed that it needed re-proofing. The beard is long gone, as is most of the hair hiding under the red hat.
