yeah this comment rang true with me, the amount of conversations ive got into in pubs and various places since I've been walking round with my Yashica Tl-super round my neck, or my Rolleicord, and even my box brownies. people just love old cameras :-P I like to think old cameras love us too.
No kidding. I have a Zorki S (Zorki "C") with a turret viewfinder and a lot of people have stopped me in London to ask about it. You hear a lot of interesting stories, from Hungarian plumbers who used to play around with similar cameras, to Argentinean bartenders that used to develop their own film when they were in college. I get the feeling that some older people would shoot film again if it was cheaper, but digital makes things too easy.
Lately I walk around a lot with a M4/3 camera with either a Hexanon 40mm f1.8 or an M-Hexanon 28mm f2.8 and I have been stopped a few times as well.
