Kodachrome - have I missed the boat?
« on: July 21, 2010, 11:09:20 AM »
I thought I'd got until November to get my final roll used and processed?!

This reads like that's it, all done!!!  :-[

No, what I read from the article was the last roll of film manufactured by Kodak was given to Steve McCurry and he shot the film and it was then processed. Not that the Processors have been shut down, I know for a fact that they are going to run until at least November (last Official day is December 10th).
Also since this article was published I have recieved back my last roll...
regards
Mark

There's more to this photography thing than meets the eye.

This really saddens me.
Just 3 years ago in Bryce Canyon National Park I remember seeing a complete rack of Kodachrome for sale.  It was like being in a dream seeing all of those Red and Yellow boxes neatly displayed on the roundabout rack.

I have 1 roll left and will probably shoot it soon since Dwaynes is pulling the plug on developing.

Polaroid, Fuji, Kodachrome.....the world is turning the wrong way for me right now.

Try to cheer up Becky!
Think of it more as a long walk through a muddy field... there's bound to be a gravel road on the other side.  :)

Film is the vinyl record of photography.

Another Kodachrome shot from the past that I've recently scanned Daryl Webster on his way to winning the National Hill Climb Championship. Riber, Derbyshire 1986
