It's converted from fuji 800z on the hassy...

I've been on hol all week so have had chance to catch up on some scanning and have also been out shooting as well.

A couple of scans of some I took a couple of weeks ago on the Ridgeway with my Minolta Hi-matic.

And a few I took this week at Waddesdon Manor.

Vicky  did you have a sheet or something like that in the background to isolate the tree.

Peter I really like the 2nd picture.

I do like your waddeson manor picture, Peter.

Mike, yes.
I had this idea of isolating trees/bushes etc with a backdrop, standing back and making them like proper portraits, but actually i prefer it much closer like this one. i also found someone else had done it before :)

This is a colour one. (obviously!)

I recently found a partially shot roll in one of my Holgas that had been on a shelf.  I'm not exactly sure where or when these were shot.  I finally got around to developing and scanning in the roll.

Just scanned this one. It's Amy single-handedly trying to recreate the visuals of the Summer of Love on Streatham Common a couple of weeks ago. The usual gear/film combo of Polaroid Land Cam 360 + expired Polacolor 125i.

Carlos, I have to agree with Phil...very striking image. What is it with you and girls + sinks?

You should! At least if I understand you correctly ;) And the camera isn't that big anyway. My new Fujica GW690 gave me a whole new perspective on size!

There is a tree between here and there. There being the Isle of Jura and here being the Isle of Lewis. Three ferries and a tree. Oh, and mountains that Toots drove by.

Carl, that's some sheriously shallow DOF you've got going there. What's the aperture you're using, f0.01?!!

 ;D

As always...stunning portraiture and a perfect mix of style, process and subject matter.

As usual the level of work in here is just amazing... fantastic stuff !

I've got a couple of shots from yesterday, nothing special apart from that it's a roll test with a Magic Lantern lens that a recently acquired.  The lens is in a provisional  ::) cardboard mounted in my Toyo and for this test  I wanted to see the results in terms of exposure before I shot with 4x5.

The focal lenght is about 195mm and if If I got it right with the maths, the aperture it's about F4.5

great stuff as ever.

Calbisu - girl with legs in bathroom - great!

Phil - that kitchen reminds me of my nan's house

Carl - mental.  Great portraits, what is the colour sensitivity to the wetplate process?  it always seems to give some strange distortion of tones ... glassy eyes, or skin blemishes.

I've been messing with my new digi toy so no film going here at the mo ... holiday in 2 weeks though,.  I'm expecting a wealth of 5x4, 120 and holga shots to be made then. Maybe with a few practice runs next week.

Phil B, can we see more of your mother-in-law project somewhere?

This was "discovered" in the darkroom this weekend. Shot in Sikkim in 2002 on a locally bought $1 krapkam. Toned print.

Very uv sensitive so blue are very white and reds at the other end coming out black - hence blue eyes and freckles are a great combination.

Good Lord!

This photo made me stop and go cold whilst scrolling down the post.

Absolutely one of the best photos I've seen in ages!

I know it's against the rules (rules schmools) but would you mind awfully posting a larger image of this?  I'm sure no one will mind just this once, the post is nearly out of time anyway.  (I'll risk the wrath of Digicam-Leon  ;D )
