From the first roll of film put through my new Holga 120N. HP5 commercially developed (thewholepictureonline.co.uk) - need to sort myself out a dev tank big enough for 120 film and some way of scanning.

Tried something new. An ink jet transfer using gel medium on to water colour paper from a Mamiya C220, FP4+ black and white image. Need to do some work on this, but quite pleased with the first attempt.

Some lovely work here as usual. Good stuff, people. Some interesting techniques too (Andrea and Mikeg).
Here's my first 'Weekend' contribution for a few weeks. It was shot on Streatham Common last Sunday.

Another of my Fujifilm lifts, but this time with a bit less 'ballpark' and a bit more 'method'. It's come out more or less how I hoped (which is good news) and 12 hours later the print itself is still stuck to the new backing and hasn't curled to any great degree. All I have to do now is decide what sort of images would benefit from this treatment. I think it would add a certain something to portraits for instance.

Polaroid Land Cam 360 + expired FP-100C, stained and lifted.

p.s.
A gentle reminder to forum members to try and keep image sizes (on screen) down to a max of 700 pixels along the largest side. It's not a big deal, but we have a lot of people who view the site on less-than-huge monitors (e.g. old laptops, netbooks, phones, tablets) and keeping to 700 as an absolute maximum saves them a lot of scrolling.

Thanks all.

Thanks Ed ,third time lucky .The difference in size on iphoto between Medium and small was the difference between poster and stamp. Three isnt the magic number ,its 700!

So many good images this weekend!! Second one from Euge.. first one from hookstrapped, the biker...  ::)

For first time I used PX100 silver shade and made my first emulsion transfer, actually this is the second one, the first one it was made with pola 669, love much more the result than with the fuji FP100c. The best is that is not difficult at all!  ;D many posibilities lay ahead...  ::)

First family portrait pola 195, PX100
Second Fuji FP100c, bleached, original and emulsion transfer.

I've been messing with the Harman Direct Positive paper again.  Here are 2 self portraits.  This stuff curls badly in the developer  - note to self, develop face down!

this were indoors - preflashed to zone 2 then the shutter held open and 4 flashes from a small detachable hot-shoe type flash.  the paper is really unpredictable.  And it shows up all the tiny blemishes an skin, the redder the colour, the darker the tone. good fun though.

Ooff!
Leon, this looks like really though stuff to work with!
With no sensitivity to red, I would have expected it to do the opposite and clear up blemishes...
Totally counter intuitive.

just got a new zero image 4x5 pinhole...very excited
using it with a polaroid 405 back and a fuji instant back
still getting the hang of the crazy wide angle distortion and the fact that the polaroid film in the 405 is slightly off center.  really fun camera to use

polaroid 405 back with ID-UV film
this was a 3 inch tall gnome and the camera was about 4 inches away while taking the 40 second exposure

fuji back with 100c film

Indeed, this has something of the old Ortho film about it w/ regard to the skin tones. I like these though, Leon.

lots to enjoy again :)

andrea, that looks interesting like a visual of some psychological struggle.

gregor, like the book sign picture.

leon, i really like the intensity of them, and that second one looks very wet-platey.

i've taken some blurry pics whilst in cornwall (still here) so hopefully i'll have something to post next week :)

It's just nice seeing something from The Druid that isn't perfect in every way (apart from the handsome model on this occasion, natch!). Everyone needs a bit of 'ballpark' added to their repertoire now and then!

 ;) :D
