weekend 7-10 may

A test roll through my new brownie 620 f.  Never having used one before I was suprised how enjoyable/easy it was to use.There was

somebody filming(?)in the park with an eos 5d on a video rig.I made sure I was in shot.Sad I know but inwardly I smiled.

I have just been over to your site and there are some very beautiful and powerful photos over there - for those who haven't taken a look I recommend that you do. I'm just probably behind the pace!  :-[

Using up the end of a roll of Porta 400 NC that I've taking portraits with- first roll I've shot of this & I really like it. It's some street art on Vesterbro in Copenhagen made up of paper triangles glued to the wall:


(boring technicalities- a Jupiter 9 shot wide-open on a Spotmatic)

Fantastic portrait and very fine technique.  One that keeps me coming back to it.

Just about to go into the darkroom but I suspect that there'll be nothing as fine as that.

Coming to the end of my second long stay in Portugal--lots of good music work but little photography.  I have been running rolls of tri-x through my Canon G-III but won't be able to process them until I return home at the end of the month.  In the meantime, I have been enjoying, as always, the too-infrequent opportunities to look at the great work posted here on FW.

Here are two frames from a roll of Ektar exposed in my G-III in Portugal.  My wife brought the roll back to the US where it was processed and scanned.  She then sent me the scanned files over the internet.

Had to share a shot of my mother's day surprize...'46 Chevy..deep blue with diamond tuck interior...and it runs perfectly! Can't wait to take a long drive in it this next weekend!
