Latest Podcast Now Available
« on: March 16, 2010, 11:36:50 PM »
Leon, Damion, Ailsa & I got together last week to record the 13th Filmwasters audio podcast - the first in months. Hope you enjoy it. We had enough material left over for a second one to follow in a week or so. Also, stand by for video podcast #2 which is almost ready to go (Sean..ahem!).

Hey, it's raining podcasts in Filmwasterville!

Well, I think it's the best one yet!
;)

I've read the book Ailsa recommends, it's really very good, a photography friend told me about it.
My favourite on the 'inspiring you and helping you carry on when you feel you're losing' theme,  is Art and Fear by David Bayles and Ted Orland...i dip into this all the time...like 'on being a photographer' it's only a few hours read but so worth it.

And love Ailsa's laugh btw :)

Installing a new floor would make great podcast content... I can already see it:
And now Sean "the toolman" Rhodes will show us how to properly lay down vinyl flooring :)

'kin 'ell guys!

Amid the chuckles I was ready for topping myself (which I hope has no other meaning in other countries!) at the likely demise of film and paper, any minute now!

Something a bit more jovial next time, like a video podcast from the Dignitas clinic?

It's never too late to bring world peace through the production of video podcasts...

Thanks for the podcast.  It's another winner.  Thanks also for the tip about Matt Stuart.  I didn't know his work.  It's wonderful stuff--hip, ironic and very funny.

To whom it may concern. Ed is currently away from home on a vital mission to restore peace to the Middle East. He will complete the edit of the 2nd Filmwasters video podcast upon his return.

I knew someone who worked in the advertising section of a well-known book publisher.  From what she told me, this kind of editing of reviews is common practice in the book selling trade.  You guys would do well on Madison Avenue.

I will be sure to get it right the first time when I respond to the next video podcast which, I guess will be forthcoming as soon as there is peace in the mid-east.  Go get 'em, Ed.

Great stuff, guys. Oddly I found myself almost pressing the pause button during the corpsing after Ailsa?s mega-sneeze. You know, just to let you calm down and then realised that wouldn't work!

Lots of great recommendations.
