New to forum, HOWDY!

Well, my name is Chris.  I live in Delaware on the central US eastern seaboard.  I have been shooting for about 25 years now.  Seriously for about 12.  Developing since Feb 2008 and printing since Mar 2009.  All in the cramped and cooped comfort of a miniscule downstairs half bath.  I have been shooting Minolta sr's and X's until last fall when I got a slightly post war B&J 4x5 press camera and the Minolta's have been tucked away in the closet mostly ever since.

Feel free to approach me with any questions.  I hope to be able to contribute.  I know I will learn.  My website is Christopher A. Walrath Photography and I am huge into APUG for those of you who can't quite place the name.

Oh, and how does one go about putting 4x5 under their username rather than the apparently defaulted 35mm?

Welcome Chris! The title under your name; this was an admin's attempt at humor based on your tenure here.

35mm being an implied newbie... Skj.

hello Chris - welcome.  If you stick around, one day you'll get to be a self-coat like Skj and me.

Welcome Chris!  I too was confused by the "35mm" when I first joined.   I think you'll really enjoy this forum.  GREAT group here.  :)

First off, Hi Chris, thanks for stopping by and I hope you get something out of the banter here on Filmwasters.

I bought a 5x4 field camera last year and have tinkered with it a bit since then. Yet to get serious with it...it's been a matter of lack of time, but I have shot a few frames (Polaroid) and really enjoyed the experience. Just recently though I've found a way (using a close-up filter and a ruler) to take very nearly the type of picture I want to use the Tachihara for with my old Polaroid Land Camera...so the Tachihara has taken a bit of a back seat.
