Polaroid it seems have stopped production of their pos/neg Type-665. Oh, well... At least I grabbed a few packs last weekend, and have been enjoying its marvellous effects. These are from my 195, reviewed this week over here:

seems like they plan on phasing everything out except for 600 series? not much point to the company anymore. I can't imagine they sell that many cameras anymore...

665 has been off the market for about 5-6 months here. Totally depressing.

But on a happier note--I dig that first shot. And the fourth shot is uber cool surreal.

Yeah, Polaroid is really pulling a number on us.  Hope someone takes up the slack.

They announced (if by announce I mean you had to go to their website and click on 665 to see the announcement) the end of 665 the same time they discontinued 85. I still have one box of each that I'm saving.

Don't do like I did... I still got half a box of Type51 (for the 545 film holder) with totally dried up pods (hard as rock).
Still wondering why I keep the stuff... and I feel very bad that I didn't use it all up.
Yet, there seems to be no alternative to their film. I know Fuji makes some instant film but I know nobody who ever used the stuff (has anyone in the world ever used the Fuji Instax cameras?)

I bought a 2nd hand Instax camera and it's pretty cool for family snapshots. I'm keeping it. Not much in the charm department, but it works well enough. Re the Fuji film for Polaroid cameras...it rocks. Just a shame that there's no pos/neg stuff in their catalogue at the moment. Let's hope they carry on their 6XX series films.
