Topic: Polaroid Land Camera/Square Shooter/Type 88

Hi,

I recently picked up a Polaroid Land Camera/Square Shooter on eBay. It doesnt have a film selector and tells me that I should use Type 88 film...thats cool. but I was wondering if anyone has tried using any other films in one? Film is film and as long as it fits in the camera....there shouldnt be a problem, after all, its just light hitting those silver halides....

Anyone ever tried this? Advice?

what are your options??  i was always under the impression that  only size 88  would fit?

option? um...i havent put any film thru it yet. just asking and putting out the feelers....

Any square format film will work. Including ISO3000 stuff... Without the ISO 65 / 3000 switch tho, you'll have to use it in the dark, or very low let anyway. Low light days are OK too, but manually time the shutter for a half sec or so. Have fun!

'course, enjoy it while you can, as the type 80s will be discontinued soon.

You can do what i did and put another front on the square shooter from a polaroid with an iso switch... the square shooter is a litle bit easier to lug around than the larger cams.
