wow - no one started the weekend thread on Tuesday ;-))

I'll start here with yashica mat and koni omega shots. Going color lately: something I'm not terribly great at but am hoping to improve on. And, thirdly, so I thought wouldn't it be fun to be a food photographer if there wasn't a pain in the ass art director on set...

Killing two birds with one stone here... a self portrait to start my weekend with my new pinhole

flowers to the rescue to avoid taking a photo of my hand and arm while working the lens cap/shutter of the camera.

Howdy,
Here are two from the first frames of a roll taken with an Olympus Trip 35. I didn't think these would come out, as they were taken while advancing to number 1, with the focus set at the 3 feet. However, the camera's light meter was setting the aperture to somewhere around f/16, thus producing the odd, almost pinhole-like squashed depth. The other three photos are from the final roll taken with an early 1950s Zorki (now in the hands of a college student). Have a great weekend

I took this yesterday, a rare sighting of my oldest son...i've been wanting to do some for so long so it was a real treat.
(This is on fuji 800z (exp) for those interested)

Also loving the movement in the clothes lines of Diane's shot.

Loving these so far

I've been scanning recently and here are 3 I've been playing with. Simple holiday snaps and to be honest I'm not too happy with them. Nothing is clicking at the mo (pardon the pun)

Diane: love that polaroid pinhole, works really great in colours.

wavebeat: have to agree too on that second image.

below my efforts, taken holga occasionally out, cross-processed expired EPN. Trying to find more challenges in colours lately. Probably not very original subjects, but not very creative these days.

Gregor I like the way the colours in the 2nd image become washed out in the back ground as the focus falls away. It makes the colour of the leaves stand out. Beautifully exposed

Vicky your son must have a good self image to allow you to take a picture like this. I wouldn't have allowed somebody to take a photo of me like this when I was younger. (Or maybe even now.)

Salvo. I like the way the colours on the trike in you 3rd picture stand out from the building behind.

I've yet to see an image from Leon that I don't like.

As usual, a diverse range and excellently executed set of pictures.

Salvo, the P6 is indeed a nice tool but it needs great care in loading and winding on - not a bad thing. The CJZ Sonnar 180mm is a cracking lens. I need to use it more though, I've got too much choice.

Ha ! I had nothing to do with it - just the right place at the right time and the best color film, sadly no longer in production - agfa optima !

Gregor, being in the right place at the right time is all it ever is

and i think i've got 10 rolls or so of expired agfa optima ll in a box somewhere...happy to swap for some fuji if you're interested?

Mike, this is only the second time in maybe 3 years he's let me take proper pictures of him...he's very body concious but i guess he's getting more confident in himself......i also did the obligatory dark moody digi close ups for facebook

Leon, you must be a deer tamer!!, those deer posed so perfectly, really lovely!

Dave, really like the top one..where were you?...looks lovely with the hills and the beach together.

Another couple from that day taken on astia and 35mm hp5.
I'm not happy with my f80, i had to replace my old one and this new one's never felt as tight and sharp somehow.

I spent 24 hours in Chicago on a fog-forced layover. I did manage to squeeze in some Guinness, some ribs, and some filmwasting. So, I was happy in the end...

Late excitement. Minolta point and shoot with polariser held in front on the local beach. The brown water is peat-stained water from a stream. Some sort of Fuji film and print from truprint!
