Ilford ISO 3200

Yep, still haven't processed it, have processed the Delta 400 today and it came out okay, I used a dev that is designed for film that has been pushed a stop or so.

However I am keen for anyone who has dev'd Ilford Delta 3200 to tell me what they used and any special techniques that help keep the grain fine as possible.

cheers gang

try Paterson aculux 3.  They recommend using it at 1+5 for 13 mins - 20 deg although this is subject to personal technique etc.

I think I said before - the film is better overexposed before dev in most developers, so dont be suprised if the negs are a little thin if you've exposed it at 3200, it seems much happier at 1600 or 800.  Ilford recommend Microphen at stock dilution for 9 mins at 20 deg for the finest grain at 3200.  The best result I;ve had with the delta 3200 is rate it at 1000 and develop in pyrocat hd for 20 mins using 3 mins between agitation - gives a nice sharp grain, similar to tri-x IMO.

I have read somewhere that Delta3200 was good, say, shot at 1600 and developed as per box instructions for 3200, or shot at 3200 and processed as per 6400. Developer Ilford DDX and gentle agitation every minute.
I personally tried the first example and was not disappointed by it, a bit of grain but didn't mind (the film was expired for about 4 years).
Hopefully some more experienced users can give more details.
attached a quick sample neg scan (bit soft, i know)
