Weekend Thread: July 24-26, 2009
« on: July 24, 2009, 10:33:24 AM »
Hello everyone,
Here are a few new photos to kick off the weekend a bit early. The first two were taken with a 1940s Mamiya Six 6x6 rangefinder with an 75mm 3.5 Neocon lens (yes, the lens really is called that...the name of the shutter is "Stamina"). The third and fourth photos were taken with a mid-1950s Exakta VX 35mm SLR with an aus Jena [East German Zeiss]  Pancolar 50mm 2.0 lens. Kodak Portra VC 160 was used for 1 and 2; Fuji 160S was used for 3 and 4. Have a great weekend :D

Where are you? Do you have crystal clear skies every day? Love them.

So, here we have it. A contact print from a pre-flashed 8x10 paper-neg I shot this morning, developed in weak developer, dried then contact printed it using split-contrast filters and sepia toned. Eh? Do we like it? Yes we do.

Sorry, a bit over-excited. Must stop sniffing the peat!

I'm a afew weekends behind, only just got a films back!

with my trusty minolta x300, my first cross processed roll, a lot more subtle than some I've seen, I rather like it.

I've only just noticed it's parked in front of a big 'no parking' scribbled on the wall.

The things people leave on the street, really.

Eclo - nice Moggie! What film was that?

Popped into The Photographers' Gallery earlier today. Kertesz exhibition is wonderful, beautifully, simply framed!

Took some pics of wildflowers at the edge of a parking lot eliciting stares from shoppers (sheesh people).

After more than a month in Portugal, I have a bit of a backlog of film to develop.  Here are a few pictures from the first two rolls--many more to go.  These are of the castle church at Montemor-o-vleho made with an Ikonta folder on Tri-X, over-exposed and under-developed.

Two more tourist photos from the next two rolls of Tri-x wasted in Portugal on my Ikonta during the last four weeks.  Several more rolls still to develop.
