Great New Blog Item

Al Cooper's written a great article about modifying a 127 format camera to take 35mm film. Definitely worth reading. I'm hoping that Al's next article will be one on the realities of C41 processing and how we shouldn't be scared of it. In recent conversations with him it would seem that there's a whole lot of pointless mythology around what is essentially a hassle-free process. Anyway, I'll leave it up to him to broach that one at some point in the future...for now, check out the 127 camera article.

Phew, just in the nick of time. The Neko was running out of cameras to review. Looks great too!

Wow! And me who has a box of wild and wonderful 127's....

I can just imagine the face of the girl at my grocery store's photolab when she sees the film come out of the machine ;D

Wouldn't be the first time that I scared the hell out of her (last time, she even thought her machine was broken... yes, I know, IT8 profiling targets are not their average print job...  ;) )

She also gave me "the look" when I brought some Action Sampler rolls for processing... I forgot to tell her that it was "normal" to have 4 pictures per roll  :D

Film is the vinyl record of photography.

The 4-4 was the first 127 I ran 35mm through. I used for cranks of the lever throughout the roll, but should have decreased it later in the roll.
