Second Annual Photo Walk
« on: May 30, 2009, 11:14:52 PM »
For those of us who like to get into packs to shoot everything that moves, there's the Worldwide Photowalk
http://worldwidephotowalk.com/

The event will take place July 18th, 2009.

It's a big sponsored event that might take place in a town near you.

Film is the vinyl record of photography.

it seems to be heavily slated to the digital camera crowd. i've considered signing up to the closest one to me(two hours away) but somehow the local flickr meetups seem almost more appealing.

It's what you make of it.     :)

I'm leading one in Albuquerque along historic Route 66 and have some Holga friends signed on.   :) :) :)

It's not that it's slated to the digital crowd... it just happens that the crowd buys digicams simply because they are widely available at low prices...

i'm not sure about that. all the prizes that i have seen are about digital imaging. i'm not seeing someone like ilford sponsoring the event afterall.  but like becky said it is what you make of it.

Update on the Photowalk.

We had 32 photowalkers in the group I led along Route 66 in Albuquerque.

In the group of 32, there were 5 film cameras.

2 Holgas, a Leica, a Nikon FE, and a Nikon N 80
