let's see your other side.

"My Glamorous Life"
the camera in this shot should be pretty obvious !

What a top top shot.
I don't know if you were looking for critique, but Ilove this.

The stark flash light really suits the theme of 'exposing the other side'. The Holga vignette helps relieve the brightness on the first door, and I also like the recessive way the second door and then the smaller window frame lead you into the shot.

The simple shapes and then the graphic X shape grabs my attention to the simple elements of the iron, the dress and that oh so cute kitsch clock.  A nicely limited colour palette too.

Problems? none for me, except maybe I'd knock the brightness of the first door back a touch more.

thanks for the thoughtful & great comments. I wasn't expecting a critique, but am always happy to receive one!

this shot is from 2 -3 years back but has remained one I return to again and again.  I started his thread as I was interested in seeing how other filmwasters were capturing rather ordinary, perhaps even mundane, snipets of their daily lives onto film.

post away - I'd love to see yours and everyone else's !

I like the prosaic...there's a lot of it in my life at the moment, so this would always have resonated with me. Here's a snap taken a couple of years ago of Jacqui (very pregnant at the time with son Joe) sitting at the dining table late one night.

Polaroid 360 Land Cam & 125i film.
