I love found film - part seven.
« on: January 18, 2009, 11:07:30 AM »

In an old camera store today, perusing the Canon EE, I tested a shutter and wound on and was surprised to see the rewind spool following the crank. After insisting I knew the film was old, used, and expired the owner sold it to me for \200.

C41, Sakura Color 400 from about 1980 something as a guess. We shall see what surprises it holds (if any).

He also told me he'll keep all such films (including Broni) he gets for me as well... Skj.

Gah! Bummer about being blanked, Mr Skj. Good news however that the shop owner's going to keep all his unwanted passengers for you from now on.

Out of about six found films I've been given in the last six months only one has had any images on.

The attached is from an old agfa c41 film, developed in coffee developer.

I was quite surprised to see where the photo's were taken although it is quite difficult to date this given the subject matter.

is that taken in Portmerion?  I'm only guessing because of the Prisoner reference ... if so, it must be post 1960s ... interesting stuff indeed

I believe that it is taken in Portmeririon.

Here's another one.
