Topic: Paper emulsion coated 35mm black and white film

Yo ho ho,

Has anyone any ideas about what "paper emulsion coated 35mm black and white film" is and how to use it?

What sort of results would you get?  Would it be like exposing paper in a pinhole camera?

Sounds like a slow orthochromatic film.

Just some for sale and thought it sounded quite interesting (with an ISO of 3 or 4), but didn't know whether I could develop it myself in standard chemicals?

if it is paper emulsion - you can develop it in standard paper developer and with the bonus if being able to handle it under a safelight - although you'd need to know if it's multigrade or single grade emulsion as to which colour safelight is safe.  Is it something someone has hand coated?

Leon - I assume so, it's unbranded in standard canisters.

So I can't dunk it in film developer? (FX-39)

Not sure.  I've used paper developer to dev film emulsions before - l-a-r-g-e grain ensued.
