I just got done reading the Lee Frost interview in Light Leaks and after a quick Google search found this gem. http://www.lulu.com/content/320701 Travels with a Toy Camera Portfolio 1 Cuba Going to order it today, I've always been drawn to photos from Cuba, especially street scenes with the vintage cars.

Kieth Cardwell has a couple of good books about cuba,   i appreciate maybe im a bit biased about cuba as i love the place....but these books do look cool.

its such a mind blowing place, untouched by commercialism, every street corner is another photographic gem, from the old cars, to the cigars to the buildings to the people to the scenary to the.....i could go on.   then the people are a step above!  so cool, so friendly and so proud at what they have been able to acheive.

I just received Lees Cuba book today and its 56 pages of toy camera goodness. Each page displays a wonderful color Holga image from Cuba. There is an info and photographers note page written by Lee also. The photos flow nicely and give you a wonderful view of daily life in Cuba. This book goes right into my printed toy camera material collection!

I just had a look at his new galleries at tc and I had to find my teeth on the floor. What a terrific and prolific photographer this gentleman is. His Holga work is outstanding....and his, Laughing girl, Jambiani, and, Old Man, THRILLED, me...what fine, fine, work. Very fortunate to have spent some time in that great country.

I can add that I've always enjoyed Lee Frost's style.  He is so down to earth.  I have one of his Black and White books and while it touches on nearly everything, the feeling is that he just likes to take photos.  And he's good at it.   Anyway, his writing style is that of someone standing right with you and it's not overly technical, just to the point of making a good print. 

I was thrilled to see the Cuba work at tc.com.  And even more thrilled to see the recent gallery up.    I'll have to see if I can get my hands on the book as well.
