Neopan 400 @800
« on: July 31, 2008, 10:09:41 PM »
Stop me if I've said this before but I just loves Neopan 400 at 800 - in DDX.

On the street in Swansea with my Mamiya 6 (1954 - yeyyy)  This guy was playing cool Italian-style squeeze tunes - though he's actually Romanian.  We talked a moment using maybe ten words ... a very friendly player.

I loves my Mamiya 6.

I like it too.

Two things though.....

One is his location...interesting window dressing....er-undressing behind him.
The other thing is I would want to figure out how to make a camera outta that squeeze box!
I've seen the bellows on those things and they are fab. :)

Nice street shots. :)

These are great portraits Sandeha - particularly the last one ... what an expression.  I can imagine him playing some dark eastern european modal fiddlings with a Romany twang in a Taraf de Haidouks style.

I do find the picture behind him a bit distracting - well  VERY distracting - but in a blokey kind of way.

I love Neopan full stop. Great pics. I've promoted Taraf De Haidouks a couple of times up here in Edinburgh and have a wooden flute from the band. Great live show!

Excellent! I saw them at the Cambridge Folk Festival a few years ago - I dont think there was a still pair of feet in the place.  Madly fast mentalism on whistles, accordians and fiddles.  You've got to love that Roma Music.
