Quite an interesting read, about what may prove to be one of the oldest photographic images still in existence.

Thanks for posting this Jason.
About 10 years ago when the Royal Photographic Society still had it's HQ in Bath and the collection was housed there I did some voluntary work with the curator at the time Pam Roberts. I was also lucky enough to meet Larry Schaaf who was a good friend of Pam's. I ended up being there for the best part of a year. One of the more pleasurable tasks I was given was to take all the Fox-Talbot photos of which there were many and to catalogue them. The upside to this was I got to handle the lot and to marvel at this obsession of ours and it's origins.

Sounds like a cool job. Wouldn't mind getting to look at all those for a bit.
