Nice shots Kai and Irv!  Here's some from the Chehalis river in Aberdeen, Washington.  Zeiss Ikon Super Ikonta 530  with Fujifilm Acros II developed in beer.

I warned you of cactus photos from my recent road trip through Arizona....
Vivitar Ultra Wide and Slim...not the clone, the real deal.
Rollei 400S film.
Top photo is the iconic Saguaro, and the bottom one is of a Jumping Cholla. The plant itself doesn't jump, but the little cactus clusters on the ends are notorious for falling off as you walk past...thus the "jumping" moniker. They hurt@!

Really annoys me when people don't know which way up to hang the Union Flag. I would've been straight over there and got them to change it.

It's definitely upside-down...I don't know why people don't notice such obvious things 😉

I know how it must feel. Receiving a horse chestnut on the cranium is probably just as painful...

This is from a recent trip to Washington D.C. The weather was dark and dreary and hot and humid all at the same time. The veteran's memorials are very moving. These 19 figures walking out of the woods are part of the Korean War Memorial.

Taken with a Nikon F2 on Harman Phoenix 200.

Probably not as painful as a chestnut horse on your head.

Hi everyone. I finally have something to add to the conversation again after a few weeks of little time for photography. These were all taken in Finland in August. They're close-ups of the ground cover that grew on the banks of the lake, right by our holiday cabin. The light was great so I lay down and snapped a few. Minolta X700 + std 50mm lens with a dark read filter and an old binocular lens that I hold in front of the camera to get the creamy blur.

BTW, well spotted re the Union Jack flag. I'm one of those people who would happily fly it upside down, safe in the knowledge that my fellow Filmwasters would put me straight  ;D ;D

Here in California: today I learned that the Union Flag can be flown upside down. This will be a fun new way to teach my students the difference between reflective and rotational symmetry!

For some odd reason, it makes me feel that the French are really missing out on protest potential... that must be why when they go on strike, they really go on strike!

Since it's Halloween this week (and I have been kept awake by a bunch of college kids partying last night), here are a couple from the W.A.C.K.

Second is a 4 second handheld shot for extra creepy vibe. I have another one shot with flash but it's just too gimicky for my taste.
