Photographer Edie Bresler will discuss why she began working with handmade photographic processes and how light, chemistry, time and chance have enlivened her ideas about photography. After introducing the basic Cyanotype process, Bresler will demonstrate multiple methods for expanding the traditional reverse silhouette effect to foster and suggest deeper connections about time, representation and abstraction.
