Topic: Harman gets two new machines!

Yep, Harman now has two new machines at the Mobberly factory.
They now make their own cassettes right on the spot. They're the first machines of their kind made since the year 2000.
Now that is what I call commitment 😊

I thought the already made cassettes, or are they adding capacity.  I think Ferrania got their old cassette machine working so they don’t have to send film out for packaging.

That really means that unless the planet runs out of silver, we'll have Ilford film for quite a while.

The new equipment will more than double the number of film cassettes that Harman can produce every year and was designed from scratch and custom-made for the business. Harman says the new equipment manufactures the metal cassettes that house the film, before “spooling” the 35mm photographic film into the cassettes and boxing them ready to be shipped.

Agree, they also say they are bringing younger people into the business and other investment plans.

Can only be good news for film photography.

Me too. Just seven and a half months before my pension fund matures and I can properly retire and have time and money to go buy film and use it!
