November 17-19 weekend
« on: November 17, 2023, 05:32:03 PM »
thought I'd share a couple more "stereo" shots I've made with the Kodak Ektar H35 half frame with some Kodak gold.

I'm not quite perfected the take a shot, then move a wee bit to the side technique, since the Half frame is a manual try it and see what happens kind of thing.
Enjoy!
These are from a road trip to Iowa.

Those are lovely, Becky, thanks for sharing. One from the archive for me, our 1983 Christmas card photo. The only time I photographed the girls in a studio, since I had access to one at the time. Mamiya C3, either 80mm or 135mm lens, Vericolor III.

Becky, I can't quite get my eyes to cross enough for the stereo effect, I'll try again later.  I have more color from Maui, expired Kodacolor 400 (Gold 400), Minolta Freedom Zoom 115.

on free viewing....for stereo
I just stare straight on at the pair until they turn into three images and the center image is the stereo one.
I don't cross my eyes....they'll get stuck ;-)
thanks for looking.

I’m missing something. 8) I’m staring but all I get is a mushed-up panorama! I’ll keep trying.

In my quest for a cheaper alternative to tri-x I shot a roll of HP5 last weekend, and much to my surprise I quite like the results. It’s definitely a flatter image, but in some circumstances that’s no bad thing. These were developed in HC-110.

Bryan, that church and the landscape there is amazing.

I really like Kai's landscapes as well. All this landscape lust must mean I'm hankering to get out of the city!

Thanks Nigel, unfortunately the church is in danger of being torn down.  Hopefully I got a good black and white shot of it as well.

What amazes me about the landscape is that I can go to the top of a 10,000 foot (3,048 meter) mountain on an island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.  It’s a different world up there with plants that are so isolated they only grow in that location.

Thanks Nigel! I really think you're onto something with HP5 and HC-110, those shots look very good. I don't think I ever tried HC-110 with HP5, but then there are quite a few combination available. I just saw that my local shop has started selling Agfa APX 400, think I'll have to buy a couple to see what it's like. I suspect it's related to Rollei RPX 400.

Thanks Kai, I’m certainly going to give it another shot.

I’ve just watched this from the naked photographer.

He really rated APX 400.
