Just came across this exhibition on the BBC News website.

Some powerful, gritty black & white portraits.  At first glance they seem to be from another age, but in reality they are relatively recent.  Would love to go and see the exhibition in full.

Simon Murphy was featured in the September issue of Black+White Photography with a series of pictures from Govanhill, Glasgow. Powerful stuff indeed.
