Help mom find a gift
« on: May 09, 2023, 07:36:55 PM »
This is a bit of a message from my mom.

My birthday is coming-up and she wants to get me something not too expensive.
But we're both completely out of ideas!

So, I'm soliciting your help on that one.

Any idea on what to get a guy with a freezer full of film?
Not necessarily photo related... any idea is welcome.

Yeah, but that's super boring and I still have quite a few...

Another freezer.

LOL 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I sometimes wish. But lets just say I'm quite happy with the one I already have.

How about a VIA Rail pass for, say, Montreal to Senneterre? I haven't (yet) had the opportunity to ride the Canadian rail system, but it looks like there would be good photography along the way.

OMG, that would be really... how can I say... an adventure.
That would mean traveling for 13 hours in their old bone-shaking trains on one day and doing the same for the return.
The route is mostly through forests with not much more than spruce trees on each sides.
It's also a good idea to avoid black fly season...

If you want to know how Via is, take Southern Rail and make it less reliable  ;)
