𝕿𝖍𝖊 𝖂𝖊𝖊𝖐𝖊𝖓𝖉
« on: April 07, 2023, 05:12:32 PM »
Have been two days without electricity.
Three days without internet.

We just have had a big ice storm. A lot of branches as big as my arm broke like twigs.
I only managed to snap a couple of Instax shots. And one of the packs was defective as it only had 4 pictures in it  :o
Not only 4 good ones, four images at all. That's got to be the most expensive pack of Instax mini I ever got.

Here's what it looked like.

No ice storms here, just lots of rain.  The sun did come out long enough for Rachael to soak up some rays at the beach.  Rolleicord Va with Tri-X 400 developed in Rodinal 1:50.

I know she's blind, but does she see a bit of light?

She doesn't see anything.  We took her to an eye specialist, they hooked up electrodes to her head and flashed bright lights in her eyes.  There was no response.  She finds her way around the house and yard like a Roomba, bumping into walls and furniture.  At least she learned pretty quick not to run.  She does feel the warmth of the sun, she can find where a sunbeam is hitting the floor.  She always finds her way to the warmest place.

For some reason, they all seem to have that ability no matter what  ;D

It is wonderful how dogs and cats can adjust to such disabilities, I know that I would be such a moany git!

Francois, I hope you will see spring arriving very soon, here we've got +12C today.
Irv, the second shot reminds me of the stone sculptures of Galapagos. Nice composition!

I sure hope too. The forecast says that we're on the right track to warm weather, so I'm not going to be complaining until the first heat wave  ;)

Happy Easter Weekend!
I don't have any new photos to share at the moment. Still have to develop some films. Recently I am making mostly prints of images I have taken over the last years. This is an emulsion lift print of a still taken initially with my Chamonix 4x5 and Kodak Ektar 100.

Great weekend guys- and Francois, I was wondering if you were in that ice storm mess.
Nice to see a photo of Rachael sunning. She's so adorable.

Mine's a Reality So Subtle pinhole shot made just up the road from me.

You just got to love shops that don't belong together sharing the same sign.

The funniest one that we had in the region was "Funeral Parlor - Frozen treats"... that was before I was into photography  ;D

I'm not sure Banjo Bob's would pair well with anything.  Maybe they should just put that off in a filed by itself.

It's funny because to me that has to be the most southern thing ever.
It's pretty hard for music stores to stay open these days, so I can't imagine how one that is so specialized manages to stay open.

Not quite the same thing but on trips to Broadstairs in the before times I always liked the juxtaposition of the sweet shop and the dentist.
Like one was trying to drum up business for the other!
