Yes we have. We've had some very strong winds for 3 days straight now, which is unusual. We had rain, ice rain, sleet, a bit of snow. But lucky for us, no power failure... yet. But in the province there's still over 140,000 homes without power... not what I call a merry christmas day.
The roads are super slippery and icy, there are a lot of accidents. The hospitals must be close to 200% occupancy. The authorities go as far as pretty much saying that unless you're in danger of dying, don't call an ambulance... not reassuring the slightest.

And in all the work we had to do to make sure we're ready to face the storm, I managed to badly pull my back... so all I can wish people in person is Merry Chr-ouch-mas.

When there's nothing you can do, complaining is pretty much just a waste of energy. The sad and disappointed eternal optimist in me has no other option other than making fun of situations and joking about it.

I had a book as a Christmas gift and I couldn't pick it up to unwrap it. We usually have gifts that are painful once opened...mine was painful even before that!

With the big storm, the winds kept me awake for three days. I can't bend down to put on my boots, everything was closed. We had nowhere to go. Nothing to do. Let's just say that the days are pretty long and boring.
