Weekend - May 20, 21 & 22, 2022
« on: May 20, 2022, 07:50:07 PM »
Sorry for starting the weekend thread on a sad note.  We just lost our sweet little Vera to liver failure.  This has been a long time coming so we were expecting it, regardless, it has been hard on all of us.  These are the last photos I took of her a few days before she passed away.

Leica IIIf with a Summitar 5cm f/2 lens, Ilfor Pan-F+ developed in Rodinal 1:50.

Rachael is not taking the loss of Vera well, they were quite close and gave each other comfort after they both went blind from SARDS a few years ago.

It's really sad when we loose a pet.
But I must say that she had a good home and a pretty long life, so there's something to be proud of right there.

Oh Bryan so sorry to hear your sad news.
I know that I still feel so devastated when I see pictures (or even the same breed) of my dog Cassius even now 7 years later after he died so my heart goes out to you your family and Racheal.

I'm so sorry Bryan. That really hurts.

Sorry to hear about your dog Bryan. I still remember my dog very fondly although she died a long time ago.
Love the pinholes Irv!

I came across some Ewok grafity in the forest. Speed Grafic, Kodak Tmax 400.

Hey Bryan, so sorry to hear about Vera's passing. Coming up on 4 years since Boris moved on and it's still kind of tough. I dug this out of the archives. Maybe he can show her around wherever it is good dogs go.

Sad that you've lost one of your muses, Bryan... these beasties nudge their way into our hearts don't they...

I know it's no longer the weekend, but your posts triggered memories of happy companionship and heart-breaking loss.

This is a scan of an old 6x4 print of my beautiful Leah... lost half a lifetime ago, and irreplaceable.

Thanks for all the kind words about Vera and sharing your pet photos.  I still think about and miss every dog I’ve had going back to my childhood, Vera will always be in my memories.
