The Same Sky Postcards
« on: October 06, 2021, 04:39:49 PM »
I just got this in my Youtube feed this morning and it's really worth watching.
You know those color postcards from the 50's and up? The ones with the marvelously blue sky and incredibly vibrant colors?
Well, it turns out that a lot of them have the same cloud formations in the sky!

Check out this video.

Really fun stuff to know :)

Thanks Francois, I enjoyed that.  Now I’ll never be able to look at an old post card without checking the clouds.

Same thing here.
I've got a bunch of old cards in a box that I have to check out.

That was cool. You have to admire the skills of the people back in the day who dropped in the new skies when cut and paste still involved a knife and glue!

I just looked through my box of postcards and I haven't got a single one of these...  :(

This was a fun watch, thanks for posting the link.

I'll never rifle through boxes of old postcards in quite the same way again!
